Notebooking with Ish by Peter H. Reynolds

I was inspired by A is for Anteater blog to borrow the book Ish by Peter H. Reynolds from the library. It’s a new favorite!

If you’ve not read this picture book, you really need to. I shared it with my mother and she laughed out-loud in delight. When I shared it with a good friend, she chuckled and agreed it is a “must read.”

The themes are about creative self-expression and accepting our imperfections in that creativity.

You could go on several tangents after reading Ish :

  • study the suffix -ish
  • discuss the theme of the book
  • make your own ish drawings (you’ll have to read the book to understand that)

To help with those lesson ideas, I created some free printable notebooking pages. These are in two different PDFs. Click on the image to access the files.
