FREE John Bunyan Quotations Copywork Pages from the Notebooking FairyOne of the great classics of Western literature is Pilgrim’s Progress written by John Bunyan. (Don’t get him confused with Paul Bunyan, the oversized hero from American folklore.)

I’ve been researching a Pilgrim’s Progress Homeschool Unit Study for Sprite, my daughter. Because I like to incorporate great quotations into our studies, I made these copywork pages with four quotes from Bunyan. (These quotations are taken not from Pilgrim’s Progress but from his other writings and sermons.)

Four Quotations by John Bunyan

  1. “You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”
  2. “He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find him the rest of the day”
  3. “If we have not quiet in our minds, outward comfort will do no more for us than a golden slipper on a gouty foot.”
  4. “Prayer will make a man cease from sin, or sin will entice a man to cease from prayer”

These free printables would work well as standalone copywork even if you are not studying John Bunyan or Pilgrim’s Progress. There is plenty of insight to discuss in these quotations.

As always, I love to hear when you use the free printables from The Notebooking Fairy in your homeschool. If you send me photos, I will feature you in a Show Off post.

Oh my, I need that first quote on my fridge. He who runs from God in the morning . . .

I love that quote! And I need to live by it. I shouldn’t save my time with God for later in the day. Coffee and the internet are nice to have, but God is vital. Why is that so hard to remember at 5:30 a.m.?
