Notebooking Show Off: Book Report Pages

Amy’s seven year old daughter used the book report notebooking page for narrating a novel. You can read more at Narration Questions. Impressive for a secondgrader, to be sure!

As you can see, it is a combination of the child’s written narrations and details written by Amy from her daughter’s dictation. Amy also chose to omit the theme section of the notebooking page. This is a great example of how to modify a notebooking printable to fit your particular needs.

As you can see from the page, Lulu and I did it together, but she really seemed to get most of the elements of the novel.  Even though she’s young, she was very motivated by the format, and I expect to continue to use it with her and her sister as they get older.
