Poetic Forms: Pastoral and Sonnet
I’ve got just one more free printable notebooking page left in this series, and it will be posted this week. For today, I’m sharing two new poetic forms that we’ve studied in A Child’s Introduction to Poetry — the pastoral and the sonnet. A pastoral poem is about nature — fields, farms, the sky, and wide open spaces. I tried to capture that idea in the sun and clouds to the right of the lines. Use those shapes for making notes about the pastoral or for sketching pastoral scenes.
I’ve made other sonnet notebooking pages here at The Notebooking Fairy, but I chose to make these additional sonnet pages to fit the look of the entire poetic forms series.
As always, I love to hear when you use the free printables from The Notebooking Fairy in your homeschool. If you send me photos, I will feature you in a Show Off post.
