Discover Africa Notebooking Set

by Jimmie Lanley on August 29, 2012

Sometimes you come across a product that is so wonderful you just can’t wait to share it! Although I normally focus on freebies here at The Notebooking Fairy, when a product is really worth your money, I don’t hesitate to mention it. I have found one.

Don’t worry. I’ve worked it out so that it’s not expensive at all. And one reader will win a free copy! Keep reading.

I am so excited to introduce to you a beautiful notebooking resource by Jessica of Balancing Everything. This eBook download is huge! With over 200 pages, this is far more than “just” notebooking pages. Discover Africa is really a unit study guide that brings Africa into living color.

Jessica volunteered to lead a coop class about Africa and finding nothing that suited her desire to cover all 54 countries on that continent, she created her own lessons.

Besides notebooking pages for each of the countries of Africa, Jessica includes a lot of helps that make it really easy for you to teach:

  • color versions of the flags to use as reference
  • full color images of scenes from each and every of the 54 countries that are specially sized to fit onto the notebooking pages (photos screened to omit nudity)
  • outline maps of each country
  • links where you can find more great images to print
  • partially filled out versions of the pages for younger learners
Besides the printables, Jessica shares 19 pages of teaching tips, organizational ideas, and recommended books to go along with the study.  She has formatted it beautifully and organized it in a way that is logical and easy to use.

Use discount code jimmie5 to receive $5 off the cost of the Discover Africa Notebooking Set (normally $15). That’s a 33% discount and makes this Africa unit study cost about 20¢ for each of the 50 countries you can study. This code is valid only through September 6.

Jessica has agreed to let me give away one free copy to a reader of Notebooking Fairy. Just enter below with a comment, telling me why you’d love to win. There are options for additional entries. One winner will be randomly chosen on September 6. And if you buy it now and win the giveaway, Jessica will refund your money.

Next month we will be picking up our adopted daughter from Ethiopia. This has given all of us great incentive to study Africa. I would love to have these pages to go with our study.

We are not studying Africa this year, but I know we will in a year or two. I love that it is so thorough, including every country. Many resources just divide the continent up into regions, or only cover the “major” countries.
