About

Jimmie is the Notebooking Fairy

My mission at The Notebooking Fairy is to teach you how to notebook and give you lots of free printables to notebook with. Every now and then I’ll sprinkle in some pixie dust to make things extra special.

You can be assured that any books or products I recommend at The Notebooking Fairy are ones that I really have used and found beneficial.

Use the dropdown menus at the top of the site to help you find your way around. You can also use the search option in the sidebar if you’re looking for something specific.

So what is notebooking? Here’s my definition:
to notebook: (verb) to put written ideas, drawn or printed images, and other relevant things into a notebook as a record of learning; often used in homeschool.

But there’s a lot more to say than just that. So subscribe to The Notebooking Fairy’s feed (there are options for both email and feed reader) to keep up with all the tutorials, Q&As, and freebies.

The pages I create purposely have a larger margin on the left than anywhere else.  I got tired of punching holes in my daughter’s words or in the pretty borders on the left side of printed pages. To solve that problem, I give you plenty of room to put your hole punches without infringing on the text or border.

a complete guide to notebooking

I have a great guide to notebooking called Notebooking Success. This affordable eBook guides you through notebooking — what it is; how to use it; how it fits a Charlotte Mason, classical, and textbook curriculum; tips for getting the most educational value from it; and much more. It comes bundled with several bonuses, including a set of generic notebooking pages that can be used with any topic.

By the way, I’m Jimmie, and my daughter’s online name is “Sprite.” You may know me from my personal blog Jimmie’s Collage.

Jimmie,
I love the new blog. I can see myself accessing it frequently. Why re-invent the wheel when someone else has already done it? Thanks a million.

Just found your site and already love what I have seen so far. We will be doing more with copywork this year, focusing on quotations. Geography is also a big love for my kids. Thank you for all that you make available to help us out.
