FREE Georgia O'Keeffe Quotation Copywork Pages from the Notebooking Fairy

For artist study this term, we are studying Georgia O’Keeffe, the American painter. (You can read more at Jimmie’s Collage tomorrow.) In reading about O’Keeffe in The Annotated Mona Lisa, we came across a wonderful quotation that explains why the artist painted close-up images of flowers.

“Nobody has seen a flower — really — it is so small — we haven’t time — and it takes time. . . . I’ll paint it big and they will be surprised into taking time to look at it.”

I turned that quotation into a printable page that your child can use for copywork or to explain the quote. Add a picture of Georgia O’Keefe or of one of her paintings in the blank box.

The file has two versions — one in the font shown and another in a cursive handwriting font.
