Free Readings Logs from The Notebooking Fairy

In looking for a printable reading log online, I was rather discouraged to find very few attractive options that would work for a middle schooler. There are some cutesy ones well suited for elementary aged readers, but a twelve year old doesn’t want a silly dinosaur on her reading log. So I created my own reading logs with a more grown up feel.

The file has a total of 18 landscape pages. There are four different fonts and choices of color or black & white.  Some logs include the days of the week; others are blank. I hope the variety will mean that at least a few of the pages suit what you are looking for in a reading log.

As always, I love to hear when you use the free printables from The Notebooking Fairy in your homeschool. If you send me photos, I will feature you in a Show Off post.

It comes bundled with several bonuses, including a small set of generic notebooking pages that can be used with any topic.

We too had problems finding a reading log suitable for slightly older kids, but I just made do with the best of what I could find. I’ll have to see if dd prefers to switch to one of yours for next month.

I have looked around, but haven’t been able to find a elementary reading log. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Corrie, a Google search for the term reading log will give you lots of options, almost all at the elementary level.

I love your reading logs but was wondering if you had one that also has a check box for narration. We are narrating after reading but sometimes we forget. Do you have or know of anything like this?

Thanks so much
