My blogging friend Mary over at Homegrown Learners asked me to guest post in her Wednesday Homeschool Guest series. I was happy to share about my favorite topic — notebooking.

I took the approach of explaining how to begin notebooking from the very start. Getting started is often the hardest part, but notebooking is not complex. Just follow the steps I outline, and soon it will be second nature. There is also a giveaway of Notebooking Success in that post. So be sure to enter if you haven’t already bought your own copy.

Jimmie is now a veteran homeschool mom. Her daughter Emma is a student of the sciences at a large university in Illinois. Her guide to notebooking—Notebooking Success—guides you through notebooking: what it is; how to use it; how it fits a Charlotte Mason, classical, and textbook curriculum; tips for getting the most educational value from it; and much more. It comes bundled with several bonuses, including a small set of generic notebooking pages that can be used with any topic.

This article was hands down the best beginners article on notebooking I have ever read. Suddenly I know exactly how to make it work with my son. I’m a lapbook person myself, but he loves the big pages from a notebook and now I know what to do. Thank you!

Great post, as usual. 🙂

Loved your post at Mary’s Jimmie. It is so funny to me how everywhere I turn I see ‘Notebooking’ links and info. We can’t wait to use this often instead of the occasional we have done in the past.
